About CompressImage.ca
Free Canadian image tools that run locally in your browser. No uploads, no signup, no watermarks.
CompressImage.ca is a free image compression and optimization toolkit built for people who want fast results without handing their files to a server.
I built it around a simple idea: most image tasks should happen right on your own device. If you just need to make a photo smaller, resize a batch of images, convert a file, or remove private metadata, you should not have to upload your personal files somewhere first.
What makes it different
- Your images stay on your device. The tools run locally in your browser.
- No signup required. Open a tool, drop in your images, and download the result.
- No watermarks. Your output files stay clean.
- Batch-friendly. Many tools support multiple images and ZIP downloads.
- Built in Canada. CompressImage.ca is operated from Ontario, Canada.
What you can do here
CompressImage.ca includes tools for everyday image cleanup, website optimization, ecommerce photos, social media images, and private file preparation.
- Compress images in JPG, PNG, and WebP.
- Use format-specific tools to compress JPEG, compress PNG, or compress WebP.
- Resize images by exact pixels, percentage, or common layout needs.
- Convert images to WebP for faster websites.
- Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG.
- Crop images, rotate or flip images, and round image corners.
- Remove EXIF, GPS, and other image metadata before sharing files online.
Why privacy matters here
Many online image tools process files on remote servers. That means your image has to be uploaded first, even if all you wanted was a smaller file.
CompressImage.ca works differently. The tools are designed so your browser does the processing locally. Your image files are not uploaded to our servers, and we do not receive, store, inspect, sell, or use them to train AI models.

Who builds CompressImage.ca
CompressImage.ca is a Kenny B Media property built and maintained by Kenny B, an independent developer in Ontario, Canada.
This site is part of a small family of practical Canadian web tools, including ImageConverter.ca.
There is no venture-funded growth machine behind it, no account wall, and no complicated workflow. The goal is simple: make useful image tools that are fast, private, and easy to understand.
What I care about
- Privacy by design. The safest file is the one I never receive.
- Plain-language tools. You should not need to understand codecs to get a good result.
- Speed. No upload queue, no waiting for a server to process your file.
- Practical results. Smaller images, cleaner files, and formats that work where you need them.
- Honest pages. The tool should do what the page says it does.
